Mall is an architectural drawing of the Wertheim department store, today known as Renoma. The Wertheim company from Berlin had plans to build a modern department store of monumental size in Wrocław before World War I. It was finally built in 1930 and expanded in 2009. The new part of Renoma refers to the character of the historic building with horizontal divisions of the façade and continues Hermann Dernburg's original idea, creating a new quality in both connected parts.
The Renoma department store is one of the flagship works of European modernism in the art deco convention. The Mall pattern will not only make the room optically larger, but will also delight with the rich ombre colors used by the artist.
The author of the pattern is Kamil Siudziński, born in 1983 in Wrocław. A computer graphic designer by profession, an artist by passion. He creates contemporary art and at the same time crosses his own boundaries without limiting himself to one style, subject and medium. In my works I present people, nature and architecture.
